Solving Kids' Cancer (SKC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating the development of therapies to improve survivorship of pediatric cancers. To apply for funding or grants, applicants submit proposals through their web site for considerations. Information submitted are transmitted to SKC's extranet SharePoint portal.

The portal is redesigned every step of the way to manage the review process efficiently for non-technical users. Each proposal undergoes a review process of scorecard and forum style discussions. Dashboard views are used to present the feedback status to different levels of reviewers. Customizations include Forms Based Authentication (FBA), event receivers, workflows, custom lists and edit forms, web parts and automatic role-based permissions assignment.
